Due to our own war effort and our commit-
ments to other democracies, Secretary of Agricul-
ture, Claude R. Wickard, has asked farmers to
produce more food products in 1942 than ever
before.J
Farm Machinery and Truck Manufacturers are
now building implements of war, and a large part
of our steel output is going into these products.
ACT NOW!
We wish to cooperate with the Golden Valley County
U. S. D. A. Defense Board in their effort to make available
to farmers in this area repairs and replacement parts to put
farm machinery in first class shape.
To do this we ask your cooperation in checking over
your machinery and ordering repairs now and by marketing
all available scrap iron in order that more steel may be avail-
able for the manufacture of farm machinery. We suggest
that you act now.

The United States Defense Board has launched a
nation-wide farm machinery repair drive to meet pros-
pective reductions in new farm machinery next year
because of the steel needed for defense purposes.
Realizing the importance of this move, we urge all
of our customers to check over their, farm machinery
this winter, in their spare time, and to get their orders
in for whatever repairs they will need for the spring
seeding season and for next year's harvest.

orders in so we can make arrangements to make your
needs available as well as circumstances and conditions
will permit.
