Scholarships available In spring 2019, North Dakota Mensa will be awarding a $500 scholarship and the Mensa Foun- dation will award a $600 scholar- ship, both to North Dakota residents. The 2019 Mensa scholarship contest is open to all permanent North Dakota residents who are enrolled in a U.S. college or uni- versity in the academic year fol- lowing the award (fall 2019). Applicants must write 550-word essays that describe their educa- tional and/or career goals. Winners are selected based on these essays and Mensa Founda- tion judging criterion. The Foun- dation's college scholarship program bases its awards totally on essays written by the appli- cants. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program, or financial need. Mensa member- ship is not required, nor is it rele- vant. The scholarship application process is open now and closes Jan. 15, 2019.
