OCTOB~JR 24, 1935 NUMBER 25 Big Gun That Broke a Long SECOND HALF RALLY IS FUTILE AS GOLVA WINS OVER SENTINELS, 35-7 It-- (~h.om s. B. School Notes) The Sentinels played a great sec- ond half football game at Golva last Friday. The score at the half was 28-0 in favor of Golva. At the end of the game it was 35-7 inlayer of Gob va., The Sentinels made 12 first downs the second half. The Gova team is the best to represent theft school ac- cording to our judgement. They have one of the heat all around backfield men in Doubles that local football fans have seen in action since the sport began years ago. He doubles cO everything. The combination in passing, Moen to Doubles. is enough to dtffeat any prep team. Moe~ makes passes from 5 to 70 yards with accuracy and speed. One of these long passes on fourth down with 40 yards to go was so hot it deflected from our receiver into the hands of the Golva receiver and resulted in their first touchd&wn. The game was clean and well play- ed. The Sentinels had some very.bad breaks in the first half. The fact that the Sentinels played their opponents to a tie in the second half makes ns believe that the return tilt here Nov. 1st will be a well fought and evenly matched contest. The Sentinels plan on staging dances for 'the purpose of raising funds. Friday, Nov, 1st and Thanks- giving Day Nov. 28th. and possibly another before between or after these dates.
