Volunteers in January 2010 began dismantling the log-cabin style former dining hall. Eventually they pulled apart the huge cottonwood logs that make up the structure, and stored sec- tions of the building at the Bible camp's new location down the road along the Little Missouri River. The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation owns the land on which the building was located, but an agree- ment with TRMF allowed Badlands Ministries to move the buildine The log sections were stored at the new site during the winter of 2010-11. but during the flood in May. the water carried six sections, representing the west side the building away. One of the sections was carried as far as the area southwest of the Bully Pulpit Golf Course, said Mary Griffin- Abrahamson of the committee that has been pursuing the effort to move and save the building. But all the logs were eventually retrieved.
