MEDORA - The weather of 2011
added more of a story to the Eaton
Lodge, which is being restored at
Badlands Ministries.
Volunteers in January 2010 began
dismantling the log-cabin style former
dining hall. Eventually they pulled
apart the huge cottonwood logs that
make up the structure, and stored sec-
tions of the building at the Bible
camp's new location down the road
along the Little Missouri River. The

the building was located, but an agree-

One of the sections was carried as
far as the area southwest of the Bully
Pulpit Golf Course, said Mary Griffin-
Abrahamson of the committee that has
been pursuing the effort to move and
save the building. But all the logs were
eventually retrieved.
