Mr. Sevland gave a short pep talk, the school sang the school song and a few yells were given and the boys started on their way. We hear that mice came to schools tOo. Miss Shelland has five baby mice in the Home Ecomonics Department. Her Home ~mmonics 2 class plan to use them for studying nutrition. The oldest one whose name is Oscar has taken very ill and is not expected to live. Sunday, September 18 the faculty of the Beach Schools drove to Bullion Butte for a picnic. After eating a very delicous dinner, games were played and the rest of the afternoon was spent In climbing buttes and sightseeing. After having lunch around a campfire they all returned home. FoUrteen members of the Junior the past three months visiting her parents, the W. A. Campbells. Cacti Omley plans to leave on Mon- day, Sept. 26th for Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he has employment. The people of the conununlty gath- ered at the Sunny Side Cemetery on Friday and give it a good cleaning. Its appearance now Is greatly hnprov- ed. We are sorry to hear of the serious illness of Sam Moore. He is staying at the John Kalkman home. Eddie Omley went to Beach on SUnday where he will attend high school. Rev. Grove preached a very inspir- ing sermon last Sunday. Miss Ada Bovey g~tve a very interesting account of the c~nferenee at Great Fails. Mr. an~ Mrs. Ed Franklin spent the day on Saturday vislting at the J. F. Crook home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cohen were sup- per guests at the Ed Franklin home• Mr. and Mrs, Harry Kruger were super guests at the J.E. Metcalf home on Sunday. A large crowd attended the meeting at the church parlors on Wednesday, when Mrs. J. F. Crook and Mrs. A. J. Nellermoe entertained the Webb Will- ing Workers. Misses Jordan and Spies, who have been holding evengelistic meetings at the C. F. church, left Tuesday for Ore. Mrs. F. E. Elliott will be hostess to the Christian Fundamental Aid on Thursday at the club rooms. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Drake and Mrs. O. E. Drake were Sunday dinner guests at the Win. Dick home.
