Mrs. George Oldis entertained a
large number of ladies at her home
Tuesday at 1:30 o'clock luncheon.
The ladies all brought silk crazy
quilt blocks, each one paying a pen-
ny for each piece in the hock. The
ladies with the greatest number of
pieces received twenty blocks or en-
ough for a quilt, the balance of the
blocks are going to the next highest.
Mrs. A. Scheffer was lucky winner
for once, having 143 pieces in her
block. Mrs. Gloyd Bury of Alpha
was next highest with a number of
129 and Mrs. Bert Covert of Golva
next with 119 pieces. The lowest
being 27 pieces to the block. Mrs.
Bury received nine blocks. Contests
and a lovely luncheon were enjoyed
