Beach Woman's club chorus. Mrs.
Hudson then introduced the toast-
master of the evening, Mrs. Evea
Pericle, who then presented the rest
of the program.
First was a lovely vocal selection,
"Venetian Nights," sung by the MOtt
Choral club, followed by a talk-en-
titled "Headlights," given by Mrs.
E. L. Simmons of New ~land.
Next was a very clever vocal duet
~ung by Mesdames Z~er and
Menke. Then another talk, "Foot-
lights," by Mis~ Constance West fol-
lowed by songs~ "I Pained bY ~n~ur
Window" and "The Sweetest Story.
Ever Told," by Mrs. J. P. Cain of
Dickinson. Mrs. Dale from Rhame
then gave a short talk entitled
"Searchlights." Miss Marion Fair-
child sang two selections, "Love Is

"A Little Yellow Dog." Mrs. ,Delo
Logan followed with a talk on "S~n-
light." Near tl~e end of the program

HOMEMAKERS
A new homemakers club was or-
ganized last Thursday, Sept. 13th. at
the Mrs. constant Van Horn home.
Twelve ladies were present. The of-
ficers were elected as follows: Mrs.
Constant Van Horn, president; Mrs.
Ray Brier, vice president; Mrs.
Ross Johnstone, secretary and treas-
urer. A lovely lunch was served af-
ter the meeting was over. The next
meeting will be held at the home of
Mrs. Mat Decker on Thursday, Oc-
tober 4th.

Maggie Campbell died at her

September. Just ten years ago she

parently in good health, but the at-
tending physician said she had can-
[cer for many years, although she
did not suffer any pain. Her death
came as a surprise to her many
friends here.
