Dorothy Allen
BEACH - Dorothy Allen, 95, of
Wibaux. Mont., formerly of
Sentinel Butte, passed away on
Friday, Sept. 2,2011, at the Wibaux
County Nursing Home in Wibaux.
Visitation was held from 1-5 p.m.
on Monday, Sept. 5, at the
Silvemale-Silha Funeral Home in
Beach.
A family and friends memory
service was held at 6 p.m. on
Monday, Sept. 5, at the Wibaux
County Nursing Home in Wibaux.
A funeral service was held at 10:30
a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6. at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Sentinel Butte
with Pastor J.T. Burk officiating.
Internaent was held in the Sentinel
Butte Cemetery. Silvernale-Silha
Funeral Home of Beach was
entrusted with the arrangements.
Dorothy was born on March 16.
1916, in Carlyle, Mont., a daughter
of Herman and Margaret (Neuman)
Bargfeld. She was raised and edu-
cated in Carlyle.
Dorothy married Walter Allen on
Sept. 24. 1933, in Wibaux. They
had one son, Harold, who died at
birth. Dorothy loved being a ranch
wife. and she thoroughly enjoyed
raising chickens and gardening.
She loved animals and. had many
pets including birds, dogs and cats.
She adored her family and was very
fond of her two nephews, Bruce and
Jim Allen. whom she raised as sons.
Dorothy was an excellent cook and
delighted in fixing wonderful meals
for family and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death
by her husband. Walter: one son.
Harold: one brother, Chester
Bargfeld: three sisters. Henrietta
McKechnie. Maxine Bargfeld and
Donna Klein: and a special friend,
Ernie Thomas.
She is survived by her two sons.
Bruce (Barbara) Allen and Jim
Allen both of Dickinson: sister. Ada
Frounfelter of lsanti, Minn.: two
brothers. Clifford (Delores)
Bargfeld and Herman (Marion)
Bargfeld both of Princeton, Minn.:
and numerous nieces and nephews.
