Excessive shipping, due to feed short- uge, in 1936, were given as the princi- pal factor making for declining ship- ments in 1937. Most livestock growers who~e finances permitted, held back all possible stock in 1937, seeking to rebtvlld their herds. This, coupled with the heavy marketing of the previous year, brought about the lowered nlar- keting h~st year. Most sections of the state have this year produced two years feed supplies, thus paving the way for increased livestock population when credit for purchase of breeding cattle, ewes and lambs, and gills, is made available from some source.
