HONEY WHITE CAKE
s.fa cup shortening 3 teaspoons baking
1 cup sugar powder
%~ cup honey %% teaspoon salt
I cups sifted cake I cup milk
flour 4 egg whites /
Cream shortening, honey'~ and
sugar thoroughly. Add s't~d dry
ingredients, alternately ~fth milk,
starting and ending wi~dry ones.
Fold il~ stiffly beatet~gg whites.
Bake ~n two 9-inchjfayer pans in
a 350 ~egree evener 30 minutes.
Sevqn Minute ilbney Frosting.
Put [we unbe~en egg whites,
cup w~ite eor~ syrul~ and ~ cup
honey ~in dot~e i~oiler top. Have
water ~n bo~Com boiling. Beat with
rotary~be~¢er for seven minutes
or unt~ tl~ mixture is stiff enough
to stand~qn peaks. Remove from
heat. Add ½ teaspoon vanilla,
and a pinch of salt. Spread on
cake. Then cover with moist co-
