Plans are now being made for the
Roundup Council meetings which
will be held this year prior to the
national convention, tentative dates
being set for the last week in Sep-
tember and the first week in Octo-
ber. Mrs. J. A. Hofte, department
president and Mrs. R. M. DePuy,
department secretary, will attend
all of these meetings, which will in-
clude two in all the districts and
three in some. Other department
-officers and chairmen will take part
in the council meetings in the vicin-
ity of their homes.

A "Happy Birthday" to Grandma
Page was sang at the home of L. D.
Page Tuesday when Mrs. Glen and
Pearl Page planned a surprise on
her 84th birthday. Grandma had
ib:~en at the W. W. Page home in
Golva and the relatives. Mr. and
Mrs. Page and daughter Loretta and
Miss Lorena Hurd made up the par-
ty to drive out to a splendid chicken
dinner with all the fixings, and a sil-
ver collection present to Grandma
wishing her many more happy birth-
days. Mrs. Pearl Page took the
party to the theater in Beach in the
evening.
A jolly time is reported at a pic-
nic sponsored by Mrs. Harry Funk
Sunday at the hall in the Badlands,
those attending were: Mr. and Mrs.
Bud Haigh, Harry Funk and fam-
ily, John Tschida and wife, Leo To-
