Maus GOLVA- Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas David Maus, 25, of Wibaux, Mont., was at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 20. 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Golva, with the Rev. Russ Kovash celebrating. Rite of Committal was at 2 p.m. in the Wibaux Cemetery in Wibaux. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m., on Tuesday, July 19, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wibaux with a Rosary and Vigil Service being held at 7 p.m. Visitation continued one hour prior to the Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Golva on Wednesday. Nicholas passed away Thursday, July 14, as the result of an automo- bile accident. Nicholas David Maus was born on March 18, 1986, a son of David and Barbara (Brungard) in Dickinson. Nick grew up on his parent's farm south of Wibaux. Nick attended Wibaux Grade School and Wibaux County High School, where he graduated in 2004. Following graduation, he attend= ed North Dakota State School of Science, where he graduated with an associates degree in electrical technology in May 2006. Nick was currently- employed by Westmoreland Resources Inc., at the Sarpy Creek Mine. Nick attended CCD and confir- mation at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Golva. He enjoyed working cattle with his family and extended family on the home place. Nick had a way with all of the ani- mals, especially his cake cows. He loved playing guitar, writing and recording his own songs and jam- ming with other musicians. He enjoyed singing karaoke with fatal- ly and friends. His other interests were hunting and golf. On Sundays during the NFL season, you could find Nick rooting for the Steelers. Nick lived life to the fullest and was always looking for fun. He will be sadly missed by his family and fliends. Nick touched so many peo- ple's lives with his big heart and smile. Nicholas is survived by his par- ents, David and Barbara Maus of Wibaux; his brother, Aaron Maus of Wibaux; and his sister. Alisa Maus of Bismarck: his nephew and god- son, Rylan Jordan Maus of Bismarck: his grandmother, Elizabeth Brungard of Wibaux and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herman and Marjorie Brungard and paternal grandparents, Albert and Agnes Maus.
