Of interest to the many friends of
Oscar Lindhe is the following item,
taken from last week's issue of the
Billings County Pioneer of Medora:
O. G. Lindhe of Beach, this week
bought out the business establishment
.~hat for the past 23 years has been
operated by George R (Shy) Osterhout.
Mr. Lindhe plar~s to have a pool
table installed, booths placed in the
building formerly used for the grocery
store, and conduct a first rate tavern.
Mr. Lindhe is by no means a stranger
in Medora as he was county auditor
of Billings county quite a number of
to cultivate the land for food pro-
duction. We are now ready to put this
type of crop insurance into prac-
tice says County Agent Russell. In
fact he said the new crop insurance
will cover all losses pertaining to crops
except that caused from carelessness
or deliberate destruction by persons.
The first meeting relative to the
AAA crop insurance will be held at
Oolva on Thursday evening in the
~communlty hall at 8:00 p.m. This
meeting Is being held in special re-
J ference to the winter wheat growers
of the county.. Therefore every fartn-
let who is planning to seed winter
wheat this fall should attend. Appli-
I cations for crop insurance on winter
t wheat must be fried before August 15th.
Golva is the center of the winter
wheat area of the county and for that
reason the meeting is scheduled at
that point. It is possible that farmers
in other sections of the county may
wish to plant winter wheat but will
find it Impossible to attend this meet-
ing on account of the distance to
travel. For that reason arrangements
have been made to have Lyman D,
Page who has been appointed crop in-
surance supervisor for Golden Valley
county scheduled to be in Beach on
the following dates: July 23, 25 and

performance came in the sixth inning
when two singles and an error filled
the bases with no one out. Seeing no
bases lying around for runue~ to oc-
cupy Frank took care of the situation
by striking out the nex~ two batters and
forcing the third to send a short fly
to Eddie Cater, which he easily gath-
