Patrick Taylor Plummer
BAKER, Mont. * Funeral
Service for Patrick Taylor Plummer,
96, of Beach, formerly of Baker,
Mont., will be at 11 a.m. on Friday,
July 8, 2011, in the Chapel of
Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker,
with the Rev. Scott Hojnacki offici-
ating. Interment will follow in
Bonnievale Cemetery atBaker.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on
Thursday, July 7, in the Chapel of
Angels at the Golden Valley Manor
in Beach, and 5-9 p.m. at Stevenson
Funeral Home in Baker with a
Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation
will continue on Friday from 9 a.m.
until the time of service.
Pat passed away peacefully on
July 3, 2011, at St. Joseph's
Hospital and Health Center in
Dickinson with his family by his
side.
Patrick Taylor Plummer was
born July 29, 1914, to Everett and
Stella (Head) Plummer in
Randolph, Neb. As a child he
moved with his faLnily near Willard,
Mont. He attended country schools
there and in the Ollie area, graduat-
ing from Ollie High School in 1932.
In 1935, he married the !eve of
his life, Edna Berg, and together
they celebrated 68 years.
Patrick was instrumental in
forming the Horse Creek Grazing
Association and the Goldenwest
Electric Cooperative. He was an
original incorporator of Basin
Electric in Bismarck, and a 25-year
board member of the Upper
Missouri G & T in Sidney, Mont,
He was a member of the Ollie EUB
Church, where he employed many
country pastors to supplement their
salaries. Pat was involved in
ranching all of his life and closely "
followed all sports events his chil-
dren and grandchildren were
involved in. He especially encour-
aged his relatives to remain in agri-
culture.
Pat will be remembered for his
generosity to his family and fi'iends.
He always said you should leave
this world better than you found it.
And he did.
Pat is survived by his son,
Douglas (Judy) Plummer of
Mandan; his daughter, Loretta
(Harold) Schlothauer of Fairview,
Mont.; he was "Gramps" to Shen'y
Plummer, Keith Plummer, Kevin
(Kim) Plummer, Dirk (Laurie)
Schlothauer and Lonna (Mike)
Quast and two step-grandchildren,
Cory (Lisa) Glaser and Jayme
(Aimee) Glaser. He,had 12 great-
grandchildren and a special
nephew, Dearr (Karen) Wang and
family; a sister, Bonnie (Manford)
Jacki; sisters-in-law and brothers-
in-law Marjory Plummer, Allan
(Ruth) Wang and Dulane (Anna
Mac) Wang and numerous nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Everett and
Stella Plummer, his wife, Edna, his
brothers and sister and their spous-
es, Elliot,. Charles; Francis, Jim
(Helen), Cecil (Mary) and Gloria
(Ira) Smeltzer, and his brothers-in-
law and sister-in-law arid their
spouses, Lee. Roy Wang, Alma
(Paul) Thoemke and Vic (Doris)
Berg.
The family prefers memorials be
made to the North Dakota Cowboy
Hall Of Fame, Home On The
Range, Golden Valley Manor or to
the charity of your choice.

Construction
begins on 1-94
in area
Construction will begin on
Thursday, July 7, on both the east=
bound and westbound lanes of 1-94
from the Montana/North Dakota
state border to just west of Fryburg.
The project consists of maintenance
and surface work.
During construction:
- Speeds will be reduced to 40
mph in the work zone
- Width restriction of 16 feet will
be in place
- Flaggers and pilot car may be
present
This project is expected to be
completed by September.
The traveling public should use
caution when driving through the
construction zone. Motorists Should
allow extra distance between their
vehicles and the vehicles in front of
them, use extra caution and obey
flaggers and posted signs, the
NDDOT says.
BSC Honor •Roll
Bismarck State College
announces the names of the stu-
dents who were named to the
President's Honor Roll for the
spring 2011 semester.
Students must maintain at least a
3.50 grade point on a 4.00 scale
while enrolled in at least 12 semes-
ter hours of classes. Those with a
star following their name have a
4.00 grade point average for the
semester.
