Weinreis fifth at state event
Beach High School senior Hunter Weinreis receives a fifth-place award for the 3,200-meter run at the Class AJB State Track Meet
in Bismarck on May 23. Twenty-five state qualifiers competed in the same event as Weinreis. He also broke his own school record
he set in 2012at the state meet. Three other Beach High School students participated in the state meet: Abby Wilhelmi, Sofia Mu-

his birthday today. Marie Kremers
brought two great-granddaughters, Mila
and Vada Szudera, to visit Florence
Finneman and Dolores Kremers. Edie
Abraham's granddaughter, Taylor Abra-
ham, graduated from Beach High
School and will be going off to college
soon.
Monday, Reading with Sharon
began at 2 pan. Gerrianne Hartse from
Dickinson came to visit mom Christine
Finneman. She brought her some cu-
cumber plants in pots for her to grow
and enjoy.
Tuesday moming, exercises started
off our day in the fight way. Deb Albro
led our movements in the Activity
Room beginning at 9:45 a.m. We spent
the afternoon in the Activity Room be-
ginning at 2 pan. playing bingo. Devo-
tions were led by Pastor Ben Baker at 6
p.m. in the Chapel. Anton Funk cele-
brated his birthday today. Doris
Bartholomew visited Dix. Lindsay
Dykins came to see Dolores Kremers.
Wednesday was Massage Day with
Marlene and Bethine at 2 pan. in the Ac-
tivity Room. But we also had a surprise
guest entertainer, Cliff Walter, from
Dickinson who played the piano. He
played polkas, waltzes, old time tunes,
and even some requests from the audi-
ence. So, massages and music go very
well together. Coffee time followed
with some socializing then everyone
made their way back home. Sis Rojic's
grandson, Kyle Kreitinger, and his wife
• came from Albuquerque, NM., to visit
before they move to Germany. He's in
the Air Force and will be serving in Ger-
many for the next four years. They had
a nice visit.

Jenelle Lyster interview:
Jenelle was born in 1950 to Irene and
Leo Lyster in Wrangell, Alaska. She at-
tended Wrangell public schools from K-
12. She married Brentwood Weist in
Thursday, May 21, began with Mass
at 9 aan. in the Chapel of Angels. Exer-
cises in the Activity Room with Deb
Albro began at 9:45. Shoppers began
their in-town trek at 10:30. Then at 2
p.m. everyone made their way down to
the Activity Room for an aftemoon ses-
sion of bingo. Pete and Linda Tdrgerson
from Edinburg visited aunt Donna
Sygulla.
Friday hair day began at 8 aan. with
Deb Albro and Marlene Muruato as our
hair ladies. Everyone came to be pam-
pered and no on e left disappointed! Cof-
fee and treats were served in the Dining
Room at 9 a.m. and 3 pan. Just another
way Manor residents are pampered!
Pastor Maxted led Devotions at 7 p.m.
in the Chapel. Doris Bartholomew vis-
ited Dix. Dennis and Melanie Nunberg
from Bismarck came to see Jowayne
Nunberg. Judy Abraham from Sturgis,
S.D., and Mary Wang from Bemidji
came to visit Edie Abraham for four
days.
Saturday morning exercises in the
Activity Room were led by Loretta
Wyckoff. After she got those hearts
pumping and those bodies moving they
moved back to their rooms to wait for
dinner at noon and coffee time at 3 pan.
Sunday morning Adoration began at
17 years of service

1968. They met when they were only 4
years old. After their divorce she met
Fredrick Townsend at a family reunion.
They married in 1975. She has three
children - Karl, Eric and Aaron, who
have given her five grandchildren- four
girls and one boy.
Janelle moved to the Manor in 2011.
She loves living at the Manor because
she feels the staff is incredible. Jenelle's
hobbies are crocheting and embroidery.
Her greatest memory is growing up on
a little island in Alaska and going fishing
with her dad. The life tip she wants to
share is: "Live life to its fullest and have
no regrets."
Fern Hennings interview:
Fern was born in 1944 to Vhgil and
Doris Hennings in Foster County. She
attended Growth School. She loves put-
ring puzzles together. She moved to the
Manor in 1984 because that was when
she first got a job there. She likes the
Manor because of all the friendly peo-
igle. Her greatest memories she would
like to share are going to school, riding
horses to go get the cows, and cleaning
up her school. The life tip Fern would
like to share is: "Be satisfied!"
