Beach's varsity track teams com-
peted in two meets last week.
On Tuesday, May 8, they were at
the Bowman County Invite in Bow-
man. On the girl's side, Bowman
County took first with 384 points,
followed by Grant County/Flasher,
Hettinger-Scranton, Mott/Regent and
Beach in the top five. Bowman
County was also top of the boy s
teams with 368 points then Grant
County/Flasher, New England,
Mott/Regent and Lemmon. The
Beach boys took eighth as a team.
On Saturday, May 12, Beach
hosted a 10-team meet on a rather
cold day. The Buccaneer girls earned
69 points and fourth place as a team
coming in behind Trinity, Hettinger-
Scranton and Mott Regent The

earned them a sixth-place behind
Trinity, Richardton/Taylor, New
England. Mott/Regent and Bowman

Bowman County girls events: 100
meter dash: Gracey O' Brien of
South Heart/Befield was first with a

mann was 12th, with 14.62 and Re-
beka Padilla 13th, with 14.85.
- 200 meter dash: Gracey O' Brien
of South Heart/Belfield took the
event with a time of 27.37. Beach's
Laiken Mahlum scored points for the
girls with a sixth - place finish. 29.85.
- 400 meter dash: Won by Alexius
Miller of Bowman County with a
time of 1:05.37 while Beach's Madi
Wilhelmi was second with 1:07.62.
- 800 meter run: Cassie Kinds-
fater of Hettinger-Scranton was first
with a time of 2:35.58; Megan Ris-
ing fourth, with 2:40 01, Andrea
Lund seventh 12:58.62.
1,600 meter run was won by
Abby Wilhelmi of Beach with
5:29.32. Andrea Lund third, with
6:31.62.
4-by-800 relay was won by
Beach's team of Abby Wilhelmi,
Tyra Feldmann, Madi Wilhelmi and

State Track Meet will be held in Bis-
marck, May 25-26 at the MDU Re-
sources Community Bowl.

chased the raffle prizes! Following
the barbecue, Nikki Davidson held
her Major Musicians Spring Piano
Recital at 3 p.m. in the Activity
Room. More than a dozen students
performed their musical selections
for us to enjoy. There were several
solos and a couple duets performed
throughout the afternoon. All of
Nikki's piano students who attended
the piano festival this year received a
superior rating for their perform-
ances. Leon and Alicia Heick visited
Florence Finneman. Lauren John-
son, Micayla and Ceara Miske all
visited Florence Miske. Tracey,
Adam and Andrew Trask visited AI
Begger. Linda Ridenhower visited

Veteran
Transportation
was a most enjoyable one. Jody Volz,
from Volz Vintage Gardens in Minot,
came and helped us create little tea
cup succulents gardens. Around 10
of us ladies took part in this fun event
creating and planting homes for the
plants. Everyone participating got to
take their little tea cup gardens home
to enjoy in their rooms. Jody is the
daughter of head cook Evie Erickson
here at the'Manor. Jo Heckaman vis2
ited Judy Curl. Brian Begger and fi-
ance' Sally came and enjoyed dinner
with his a unt Edie Abraham. Laurie
Rohan visited Maurice Hagar. Todd

May 8 - Exercises were held at 10
a.m. Ladies from the First Lutheran
Church gathere,d with the residents in
the Activity Room for an afternoon of
bingo fun. Jo Heckaman visited
Donna Sygulla. Ron Gebhardt and
Jessica Cayk visited Jim and Mae
Muckle for the afternoon.
May 9 - Mary and the residents
spent the afternoon recycling greeting
cards that had been donated to us.
With the recycled cards we made
Mother's Day cards, birthday cards,
and get well cards for the residents
