(Courtesy Photo) Mou "n lion sp By Jane Cook Reporter At approximately 7 p.m.. Monday. May 2. a mountain lion was seen on the southeastern edge of Beach. Maria Morin was out taking a walk when she saw the large cat just about 50 to 75 yards from her. The sighting took place just on the southeast side of town near two abandoned houses, and an old, worn out white fence. Morin said she heard and saw what appeared to be two Labrador dogs barking at the animal, with the wild cat watching the dogs. Until more is known, residents would be wise not to walk alone in that area of town.
