Board of County Commissioners met
pursuant to adjournment with all
members present.
Mr. Russell and Mr. Janze ap-
peared before the Board in the in-
terest of a Grasshopper Control
Project and the following applica-
tion was made for Federal Aid.

Grasshopper Control
We, the undersigned members of
the Board of Coun~ty Commissioners
of Golden Valley County, North Da-
kota, hereby make application to the
Sta'te Grasshopper Control Commit-
tee for Federal Aid in controlling
grasshoppers.
The County Government agrees
to:
1. Designate, subject to approval
of the State Grasshopper Control
Committee, a county leader in
grasshopepr control who will devote
sufficient time to grasshopper con-
trol to effectively carry on all cam-
paigns needed in the county.
2. Authorize such leader to organ-
ize, under general direction of the
state leader and in accordance with
the approved program, necessary
grasshopper control campaigns in
the county.
3. Furnish the county leader In
grasshopper control with (a) office
space; (b) Stenographic service;
and (c) Necessary transportation
within the county.
4. Receive and keep a .record of
all grasshopper bait shipped into
the county by the Federal Gov-
ernment.
5. Provid~satisfactory storage for
bait suD'plie~ by the Federal C, ov-
ernment untl~ such time as It is used
in the field. ~
6. Be respOllsible for cnecklng
out of bait #Ul~plled by the Federal
Governr~ent~ alltd for its trans-
portation wqtihi~ the county in a
manner dlrected'~ .by the county
leader.
7. Assure that no bait purchased
with Federal Funds shaI1 be distrib-
uted for the 'use of individuals in
any township until such township
~s an approved organization for
grasshopper control.
8. Distribute complete precautions
and directions for use with all bait
suI~lled to farmers.

gram. Each commissioner will act
as district leader for their respective

Cooper appeared before the Board
to discuss the financial status of the
relief set up.
Bil.ls were audited and approved
until I2: Noon.
1 p. m. The Board reconvened
with all members present.
Contract were approved and sign-
ed for the payment of delinquent
taxes without penalty, covering per-
sonal property of Ed Seherman, K.
C. Htggins and Victor Johnson and
real estate contracts on lands des-

The matter of moving the house
belonging to Mrs. Ed Willis was
brought to the attention of the
Board and it was decided to move
the house to a suitable Iocation in
Beach with the County Road out-
fit.

Board approved same and ordered
the Counter made.
