"' 11 Last week the local high school team wound up their basketball seas. o.~ by parl~icipating in the annual district Class B tournament at Dick- insert, and were there defeated in the semifinal round by the strong Taylor high team in a close game 35 to 30. In their opening game Beach won over Kildeer 36 to 19. Taylor went on after defeating Beach to defeat Belfield in the final game Saturday night and thereby win the championship of the district. Thh weekend they play New Salem fm +the right to represent this region at the state B~Class tournament at Valley City March 22-2~,. +. ~L In consolation games Beach broke even, defeating Model high Saturday morning and then losing 31 to34 to the powerful Golva team in the conso- lation finals Saturday night. Golva was eliminated in the first round by ] one point, Belfivld winning over jthem 22 to 21.
