Anyone wishing to file as a candi-
date for the Billings County School
Board from director district three must
file a "Statement of Candidacy" form
and a completed "Statement of Interest"
form with the District Business Manager
prior to 4:00 p.m. MT Monday, March
31, 2014. Forms are available at the
district office in Medora, or by calling

available on the school website.
Candidates must be a resident of di-
rector district # 3, but will be voted upon

Notice is hereby given that there are
two (2) school board member positions
for the Golva School Board, Lone Tree
School District #6, open for occupancy.
Positions are for three-year terms.
School board officer qualifications in-
clude but are not limited to, persons
being at least 18 years of age, a resi-
dent of Lone Tree School District #6,
and a qualified elector of this state.

BEACH PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that
the Beach School District #3, (District)
will receive sealed bids for the con-
struction of two (2) separate duplex
homes (each duplex home called a
"unit") both units to be located on the
following described parcels in Beach,
North Dakota.
Lots seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven
(7,8,9,10,11) Block 4, Woodhul's Addi-
tion
Bidders must submit either a single
prime bid for each unit or separate
prime bid for one or more of the gen-
eral, electrical and mechanical portions
of each unit bid.
Plans, drawings, and specifications
and the contract containing terms and
conditions set by the District may be
viewed and examined at Beach High
School, 600 North Central Ave., Beach,
ND between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m.
Bids will be publicly opened at
Beach High School, 600 North Central
Ave., Beach, ND on March 26, 2014 at
1:00 p.m., and must be received by
such time.
Prime bidders must affirmatively
state on each bid that it is ready, willing
and able to complete construction on
each unit bid by October 13, 2014. Bid-
ders on the general, electrical and me-
chanical portion must affirmatively state
on each bid that it is ready, willing and
able to complete the portion bid in the
ordinary course of construction of the
unit bid, without delaying the completion
of the unit past October 13, 2014.
Each bid must be accompanied by
a separate envelope containing the bid-
der's contractor's license and bid secu-
rity. The bid security must be in a sum
equal to five percent of the full amount
of the bid and must be in the form of a
bidder's bond.
Bidders must be licensed for the
full amount of the bid.
A bidder's bond must be executed
by the bidder as principal and by a
surety, conditioned that if the principal's
bid is accepted and the contract
awarded to the principal, the principal,
within ten days after notice of the
award, shall execute a contract in ac-
cordance with the terms of the bid and
bid bond and any condition of the gov-
erning body. If a successful bidder does
not execute a contract within ten days
allowed, the bidder's bond must be for-
feited to the governing body and the
project awarded to the next lowest re-
sponsible bidder.
No bid will be considered if the bid
does not fully comply with the require-
ments listed above. Any deficient bid
submitted will be resealed and returned
to the bidder immediately.
The District reserves the right to re-
ject any and all bids and rebid the proj-
ect until a satisfactory bid is received.

All bids are to be submitted on the

work.
All bids will be contained in a sealed

No Bid will be read or considered
which does not fully comply with the

The work on the improvement will be
completed in 70 working days. Work-
ing days will be counted from June 9,
2014 or from the actual date on which
on-site work is started, whichever is
earlier.
The Owner reserves the right to re-
ject any and all bids, to waive any infor-
mality in any bid, to hold all bids for a
period not to exceed 30 days from the
date of opening bids, and to accept the
bid deemed most favorable to the inter-
est of the Owner.
Should the Contractor fail to com-
plete the work within the time required
herein or within such extra time as may
have been granted by formal exten-
sions of time approved by the Owner,
there will be deducted from any amount
due the Contractor the sum of $2,300
per day and every day that the comple-
tion of the work is delayed. The Con-
tractor and his surety will be liable for
any excess. Such payment will be as
and for liquidated damages.

member positions for the Beach School
Board, District #3, Golden Valley

entitled action, which is filed in the Of-
fice of the Clerk of District Court of
Billings County, North Dakota, and to
serve a copy of your answer to said
Complaint on the undersigned at their
offices in the City of Minot, Ward
County, North Dakota, within twenty-
one (21) days after such service of this
Summons upon you, exclusive of the
day of such service; and in case of your
failure to answer or appear, Judgment
will be taken against you by default for
the relief demanded in the Complaint.
The Complaint in this action is to be
filed in the office of the Clerk of Court of
Billings County, North Dakota. The ob-
ject of the action is to exclude the De-
fendants from any estate or interest in
or lien or encumbrance upon the miner-
als involved in this action.

ing Commission will hold a public hear-
ing on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at
1:00 PM in the Commissioner's Room
at the county courthouse, Medora, ND
to consider recommending to the Board
of County Commissioners the approval
or denial of the following items:
Dean & Debbie Rodne: Application
to construct a detached garage on a
17.3 acre tract in the NWl/4 6-139-102
(3603 West River Rd). Property is
zoned residential.
Steve Kiym: Application for a condi-
tional use permit to place a duplex tem-
