Hank Marman~ Vic Renstrom and
Ray Hathaway returned from their trip
to the Twin Cities last Frlday. The
men had gone down with the annual
stock train out of Sidney with abouti
thirty men making the trip. The boys
report a fine week's vacation.
Word received by friends from Joe
Hylland who is now located at Soobey,
Montana, states that he likes his work
there very much, and that for his
Chrismas concert there were 450 child-
ren taking part. Mr. Hylland also
states that he has joined the Lions
club of that city.
Last Thursday evening a bridal
shower honoring Mrs. Lee Gress, nee
Julia Lievens, was held at the Hotel
Beach, and a very enjoyable occasionl
resulted. Thirty young ladles were in-t
cited and the guest of honor was theI
recipient of marw fine gifts. I
L. A. DeV¢itt has accepted employ-l
ment at the Community Garage in this,I
city, starting work there last week. I

Wednesday night by train after a
month spent in Omaha, Nebraska, and
Fargo. Kenneth reports his grand-
mother, who is now in Omaha, is im-
proving slowly from her illness.
Bud Noyes received the $25.00 at the
Bijou Theatre Wednesday night of last
week at the Cash Drawing. Mrs. Ed
Oswood of Sentinel Butte was the
other $25.00 winner but was not pres-
ent. The drawings next week will be
$25.00 and $5.00.
A1 Schroeder came down from Bill-
I Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Ayers and Mrs
Herin Brown were among- those who
attended the funeral of Mrs. John
Scheli, at Wibaux on Tuesday.
Mrs. C. IAngk and Mr. Ted Severson
were business callers in Beach on Mon-

lyn and Mr. Ted Hoeck were Sunday
dinner guests at the E. A. StRoker
home.

Ernest Schauer was taken home I
from Beach on Tuesday, he being a,
victim of the flu.

camp In Montana, spent last week
with home folks, returning to the
camp Friday.
Due to the severe cold weather the
card party that was to have been
held Tuesday night was postponed. It
will be held this week Friday night
and will be followed by a dance at
the Page Hall.
Little Patty Haigh is much better
at this writing. She has been suffer-
ing from ear trouble and was taken to
Beach where both ears were lanced.

He was accompanied by his daughter,
Irene Thompson.
The little folks enjoyed a Valentine
party in the primary room Friday af-
ternoon and all had a nice time. The
mothers were invited and a lunch was
served. Miss Clarin is the teacher of
the primary grades.
AI Irons was in from the Alpha
country Monday.
Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Julius Larsen
and Betty, Joe Popiel and family, Ton'
Bars and family, Norbert Bares and
family attended a birthday party for
Mr. Hubert Bares in Beach. Mr. Bares
was 88 years old. It was a very en-
Joyable family gathering with a fine
dinner. The guests departed wishing
him many nappy returns of the day.

Miss Myrtle Meyer of Beach was a
weekend guest of her sister, Mrs.
Norbert Bares, taking advantage of
the Monday holiday for a longer visit.
Valentine's Day Miss Shaefer enter-
tained the mothers and fathers as well
as the pupils at a party.
Mr• and Mrs. Lee O,ress were in
Beach Thursday and Friday of last
week, leaving Friday afternoon for their
new home at Portland, Oregon. •
