On the following Friday, Feb. 22, the anltual conference tournament will be held at Dickinson, in which the two high teams from the western half of the conference play a one-day tournament with the two high teams from the eastern end, Beach ie a~- ready aisured of being one of these :~ama from the western half, with ~flel~ almost a ce~ataty for the school aggregation 29.19. The game was exceptionally close the first half, the difference rarely being more than two or three points, and the Sentinels held the lead at half-time. Soon after the start of the secon~ half, Beach managed to get into the lead and held it for the remainder of the game. Kefth Guse, Sentinel forward, was high point man of the contest, drop- ping in five field goals and two free throws for 12 points. Adeline Schouboe is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Gloyd Bury. Mr, and Mrs, Leighton Nunn spent Sunday at the Otto Johnson home. Victor Renstrom entertained the maYried folks whist club at his home ~Saturday evening. The usual good ~me was had. The Kouba young folks entertained a group of friends at dinner Sunday evening• Bob Furhman returned from Dick- inson last week where he underwent an appendicitis operation. This coming Friday they play the Sentinel Butte Outlaws in the first game of a doubleheader In th~ local gym. The l~eMolays play the Medora CCC in the second game. Next Tuesday the Bantams will play the Sentinel Butte Independents here and on next Thursday, Feb. 21. they play Giendive at Glendive. Glendive returns here to play Feb. 26. This with the return game here either Feb, 28 or March 1, completes the Bantam schedule for the year. The game last Friday, played on Belfleld's extremely small foot. was a bit rough, and during the first hal~ was played on even terms, the period ending at ll-all. The Bantams took complete charge of the game |o the *second half. however, and scored almost at will. Every member of the team who played accounted for at least six points or more. Ire Thomp- son le~t the scoring with fifteen points. Reddy and Doering were outstanding for Belfleld. The game Monday night here was much more interesting, with the Nor- mal team presenting a slow unhur- ried attack which the Bantams man- aged to hold in check most of the time. The score was close all the way through the contest, it being 4. all the first quarter. 14-10 in favor of the Normal boys at the half, 18-16 in their favor at the end of the third quarter and 27-25 at the end of the game. Carlyle again defeated ellis in the whist tournament held at the Hartse Beer Parlor Thursday evening. Among those attending the Carnl- vai dance at Wll~aux wednesday nits were: Mr. and Mrs. L. Sanderson, Elsie Jacobsen. Jack Jaekman, Clara H~tse. George Griffith and many others from the west country. Frances Novak called on Mrs. T. Quale last Friday afternoon. Mrs. C.
