Charles Plummer had din- ner at the Joe Baker home on Thursday. !~Lr. and Mrs. Hubert Rustad and son were dinner guests at the Clinton Bak~er home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Plummer and family were supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Plummet Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Cloud Baker left Tuesday for Billings, where they spent several days, returning home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Carl ~ost and Mr. and Mrs. John Schlect and family were guests at the Elmer Wang home Sunday evening. Mrs. Tommy Ferrel and daughter and Miss Reva Rost of Baker were overnight guests at the Nor- man Rost home Friday. MAss Adeline Sherva had her collar bone broken Friday eveninR. She has to remain in bed for ~ome time. Mrs. Charles Nelson and Mar- Jorie, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Grandy and M~~. and Mrs. June Billington were dinner guests at the Joe Baker home Sunday. A community dance was given Friday evening at the hall for the men who are constructing the stockyards. A good crowd at- tended. Miss Sharon Schlect had the misfortune of breaking her arm Friday morning when she fell from her high chair. She was taken to the doctor and her arm was put In a cast. Mr. und Mrs. Pat Plunnner en° retrained at a party Friday in honor of Pfc. Charles Plummer. Ganves were enjoyed until a late hour when a delicious lunch was served. Mrs. Paul Bowen entertained at dinner Thursday evening in honor of Paul's birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Plum- mer and girls, Pfc. Chas. Plummer, and Carl Thompson. RollerskatIng was enjoyed at the hall Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon. It Is sponsored by the P. T. A. and there will be skating every week during the winter on those days. The skates were rent- ed from Lloyd Relnwretce. Mrs. Josephine Conner arrived Friday after spending the past several months in Superior, Wls. Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Grandy also came from Superior and are visit- Ing at the Charles Nelson home before contInuing on to OaUfornia. Pfc. Charles Plununer of the U. S. Marines arrived at~ the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ever- ett Plummer, for a thirty day fur- lough. He has seen action on several islands in the Pacific, In- eluding Guadalcanal, and spent ~everal months in New Zealand. H~ brother, Cecil of Baker, brought him to Ollie Tuesday and also visited here until Wednesday evening, when he returned to Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Everett .Plummer entertained at a family dinner on Sunday in hono~ of Charles. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Plum- mer, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Plummer, of Baker; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert C~rgerson of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Beach and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rustad and fazn- fly, Mr. and Mrs. G.eorge Water- land and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bowen ~nd son, Mr. and Mrs. I~at Plummer and Douglas, Carl Thompson, and Cecil Plummer. ~.V--- Hogs and cattle were shipped out of Carlyle Friday. Have you contributed to the War Chest yet? Do so NOW! Rudolph Lutts and wife returned from Chicago last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kneugen and family spent Sunday at the Clin- ton Knudson farm. Mr. and Mrs. L. R. MoUne and family were Dickinson callers on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Still were callers at the Melvin Hartse home Friday P. M. Jhn Gannon spent the weekend in Carlyle vlsiting his wife at the N. P. depot, Victor Feragen, Art Hartse and Bud Still went to Billings Sunday A. M. on business. Mrs. Ed Martin is back in the Beach hospital with the flu. Everyone wishes her a speedy re- covery. Mrs. Bob Carew r~turned home last night after spending the last tWO weeks at Grassy Butte with her mother, who has been ill. Pete and John Hanunervold went to Colorado to attend a thorough, bred cattle show. M~xtin Hartse has been doing their chores in their absence. Mr. Harrunond has been fixIng the basement under his house the past week. Donald ~,tmder and Hans Ide have been helping with th~ work. Are OU Henry? ady re Am! Yes Siree!
