David Raga , the former Roush Fenway Racing driver, found a happy ending to
the 2011-12 offseason when Front Row Motorsports announced it chose him to
drive the tez n's No. 34 car next year. David Gilliland will team with Ragan, which
means Travis Kvapil is the odd man out. Sponsorship was not announced for
either car. "Front Row has made great progress in the last few years, and I look
forward to helping them advance to the next level," Ragan said. "1 think the team
appreciates what I can bring to the table, and I think it's a good opportunity for
both of us." When last season ended, sponsorship had not
i]1,=, been found for Ragan's No. 6 car at Roush Fenway and he
was released to look for other opportunities. The team was
effectively shut down. The Georgia native has made 182
Sprint Cup Series starts with one win, at the July Daytona
race last season, and an average finish of 21st. He placed
23rd in the Cup standings last season.
Jan. 23. 1966 - Mario Andretti made his
NASCAR debut in the Motor Trend 500 at

Biography:
Nemechek moved up to the Nationwide Series In
1990, posting two top-fives, finishing seventeenth
in points and winning Rookie of the Year honors.
In 1992, Nemechek captured his first two career
wins and defeated Bobby Labonte for the
Nationwide Sedes Championship by three points.
In 1993, he made his Cup debut at New
Hampshire International Speedway. In 2000,
Nemechek won the pole at Talladega and finished
a career-best fifteenth in points. In 2002,
Nemechek was signed by Henddck Motorsports
and finished second twice in the season's final
four races. In 2003, he won at the Pontiac
Excitement 400 as well as posting five other top-
ten finishes, but finished 25th in points. In 2004,
Nemechek won at Kansas Speedway. Nemechek
also won the Nationwide Series race at Kansas
the day before. Joe ran in both major NASCAR
series in 2011. He successfully qualified for the
Daytona 500 for the second year in a row, but
failed to finish. In the Nationwide Series,
Nemechek scored his first top five since 2005
with a 3rd place finish at the Aaron's 312.
