There's some satisfaction in knowing that even though the price of coffmD is high, it has not in. creased relatively as much as beef, for lnsiance, a prime favorite with the American public. Even at today's prices a cup of coffee is still one of the world's least expensive beverages -- under 2c a cup~ WE WILL NOT COMPROMISE with the quality of the green coffees we buy -- and the blends of coffee we selll We are proud of our reputation in the coffee world -- and nothing is going to make us change! GAMBLING? We have never, and do not ever intend i~ speculate in the coffee market. We are in the business of selling the best blends of coffees it is possible to produce, in the largest quantities possible, and at the lowest price that will bring us a fair return. We've said R before, and now we say it again -- to our knowledge there will not be a coffee "shortage", but for some time there will be less coffee No exact figures are known because the two most important crops (those of Brazil and Colombia- will not be fully harvested until after the mid-year of 1950.
